I’ve been saying for some time now that I see a deal coming in Caylee’s case. It seems to throw some back a little bit, because they don’t believe that Casey can or will tell the truth, but folks, she already has. Dominic Casey was in the woods one month before Caylee’s remains were found and there is a complaint from Dominic Casey and the Judge (who felt compelled to do so after hearing Dominic Casey’s entire interview, and sealing most of it because it gave away “defense secrets”). The complaint alleges that Jose Baez told Dominic Casey to do “something other” than call 911 if they found Caylee’s remains, and the complaint was compelling enough to make it to the “Grievance Committee”, which only 10% of all complaints to the Florida Bar ever do. The Florida Bar seems to be taking it’s time to investigate this one, and rightfully so. I think they are trying to be thorough. Actions speak louder than words sometimes. Anyone notice how Jose Baez is not so vocal anymore? Did you see the little hearing in the Judge’s chambers the other day??? Just in case you didn’t, here it is:

Now, I don’t know about you, but I noticed that Jose Baez didn’t say much of anything. Andrea Lyon did all the talking. So for those of you who thought he would never play second chair, there’s your sign. He already is. Why? For one, I think he will not be on this case much longer. I think he made some serious mistakes and the Bar investigation will show it when it comes out. Best case, he will be fined and removed from the case, and/or suspended. Worst case for him is he will be disbarred. That’s my gut on that.
Andrea Lyon couldn’t do the October trial date, because she was not ready and her teaching schedule conflicts with it. In other words, it’s not a big priority for her. If it were, she would have made time. Draw it out? Yes, for just a short time, to test the waters, and go over the evidence she hasn’t yet. She’s lead attorney now. She’s a DP qualified attorney. Many of you have heard of her success rate, but did you really look at it??? Check it out:

I hope you noticed toward the end the emphasis she gave on negotiating. Ms. Lyon considers it winning if she saves her client’s life. Understandable, but do you see why she was the choice???

Okay, now that I’ve shown you about Ms. Lyon and Jose Baez and his Bar investigation, let me add, if you notice that Brad Conway was stepping up a bit in recent times, where Baez remained silent. Brad Conway is the Anthonys’ attorney, and he really didn’t need to do that, but even with the press and the talk shows he did. The tune he was singing began to change, sort of stating that the Anthonys know that Casey was involved in what happened to Caylee, which is quite a turn from before. We have also had 1 document dump when the defense has had 4 or 5 that we know of. See what I mean about the evidence??? I really believe the State has some pretty good evidence tying Casey to this, and a deal will happen. That’s what Ms. Lyon does. Casey talking? She did and she wanted to talk to LE before and Baez stopped her. In fact 1 month before Dominic Casey went to the woods to search. State being willing to deal? You bet! Why??? It costs a fortune to do a death penalty trial and to actually execute someone. You can bet your bottom dollar that they would deal: truth for life. Andrea Lyon will do her motions after Labor Day, testing the waters to see how far she can go, and part of that is giving Baez’s debacle a little time, as they don’t want to be knee deep in controversy at the time. It’ll most likely be a bit quiet until the Bar investigation comes to fruition. Labor Day is September 7th this year. You will get little stuff maybe, but the Bar investigation will be the major development. She will do her motions, and I’ll bet you that a deal will be in the works before they go to the January hearing, if not from there, but either way, the case is almost done. I don’t believe we will have that much more revealed to us than we already have, at least not any time soon. Add the fact that the check fraud trial will most likely be moved up and that’s another blow to the defense, and that will be the news you will hear about in the near future. I do believe a deal is coming. What do you think???
I want to believe there will be but Casey would have to tell what happened and I am not convinced that she would be willing to tell the world what she did! Her parents would then know, and I think she wants to be the “victim” as long as possible.
thanks for all those links niecey. I had found some of that info when she first came on scene & it was disturbing as some of her wins were for obvious guilty clients. I realize its a “win” to keep your murdering client from frying, but getting them “off” or cleared, I don’t know how they sleep at night.
I don’t know if Casey will change her mind & make a deal as she has convinced herself that she is innocent. I hope the prosecution has some slam dunk evidence !
Hey Laura! Casey wanted to talk to George in the beginning, and then the day she was indicted she wanted to talk to LE and both times Baez intercepted. The second time on the day she was indicted, was a little more than a month before Dominic Casey was in the woods. I understand where you are coming from, and why you are apprehensive in thinking she would talk, but I think Baez is the one that has kept that from happening, not Casey. I think her parents already know and have, as you remember that Cindy chimed in to LE when the last search warrant was served on their house and said she had that area searched a month before. So Baez and Cindy knew. (Baez due to Bar complaints) Baez also said in a news conference back when Jesse Grund pleaded for Casey to tell the truth that it would not be in her best interests to do so as it would only give them what they need to put her away for the rest of her life.
Hey Molly! You are welcome. I do agree that it makes you wonder how an attorney can sleep at night when they do get a guilty person off from the crime, but most of Ms. Lyon’s wins were simply getting Life instead of the DP, so that’s not so bad. I know what case you are referring to and that was sick, to say the least.
I do believe the prosecution has got Casey on this one, and AL knows it, and she will act accordingly. Casey won’t walk, even AL can’t make that happen. Casey does know what she did, that video that was sealed convinces me of that.
I agree that a deal is coming. The Anthony’s have been awfully quiet lately. Could be that Michael Jackson stole some of their thunder.
But I too noticed that Mr. Conway’s tune changed as to what his clients know of Casey’s involvement.
I thought that was an enormous red flad.
Personally, I think Casey should be in prison for life. I think the death penalty is not a deterrent, is too costly, and the risk of executing the wrong person just not worth it.
I’d much rather she sat in prison the rest of her life. Because you never know, by the time Casey’s about 75, the ‘real’ Zenaida might confess.
And then no one would regret having put an ‘innocent’ person to death.

Hey everybody, and Niecey! Wow! You are right, I don’t think Andrea Lyons cares about getting Casey out of the big house, I think she just wants the money and another win. Winning in her world means not going to the electric chair, not spending the rest of life in prison. I think that the reason they are pushing Amy Huizenga to see if she wants a speedy trial is that they are going to use the 60 years that Casey is gonna get for all that check fraud, and identity theft as a way to strike a plea deal. Hey Casey, we will let you live and take some time off of your 60 years for check fraud if you will strike a deal. This is the way it will go..Bozo is going down fast, and I think it’s hilarious. You are right about the evidence, I have also said from the beginning that I don’t think we even know half of what evidence they have. Hurray for the Prosecution! I so agree…KC will talk once Baez is out of the picture…A.L. will show her what will happen if she refuses the plea and she will grab at the chance not to chance the DP. Conway is paving the way for G&C to agree to the plea…they have known for a very long time but have kept up the ruse…after all it makes money and that is what they are all about.
They have all been far to quiet…which I feel means something is in the works. I just hope it happens soon..I’m curious about what will happen to Baez..I want him to be disbarred…he so deserves it..he is an embarrassment to the Law Profession!!!

Niecey has explained that it is in the States interest to consider a plea…which will require KC to allocute. BUT I suspect that she would only be willing to give sufficient information to satisfy the ? Judge ? {need help here…would there be a “panel” or just my ♥ Stan?}
If this were to happen then I feel sure that the lion would have hours of coaching on her hands to make sure that we only get the least amount of information necessary.

I think Casey will admit (in a backwards sorta way) at the 11th hour, when the evidence coming pouring in. She will say that it was horrible accident and she panicked, and tried to make it look like a kidnapping.

Hey Jill! I do believe she told the truth already to Baez, and probably her parents. She will tell, with the right pressure, and they will apply it. The detectives being in the woods a month before Caylee was actually found, tells me that. They just didn’t get an accurate picture of where she was dumped exactly. I look forward to OA giving us analysis on this one.

KC will sing once she is made to realize her life is on the line and that her FRIEND BAEZ…was feeding her a line of BULL to make money off her situation.Remember no one but Baez has told her anything about her case…he is always right there protecting his interest. KC will more than likely stick to an accident story…and that she was scared to tell the truth…probably that she feared her parents the most…the court will buy it as long as she says she did the deed…the rest is immaterial.
I just can’t help but wonder what all the Bar has come up with??? Taking so much time I would guess they will have all the i’s dotted and the t’s crossed.
It just may be over by Christmas??? Lyons book is set to launch in Jan…..she would be in demand…the Talk Show Circuit will all be scrambling to get the exclusive…thus the BOOK should be a hit…and I’m sure she will be writing one on KC and her case.JMO.

I think the reason Lyon is waiting till after Labor Day for the the motions she intends to file, may be in part because of the Bar investigation. I think we will find out before the summer is out. They will give it time to be the scandelous news story that it will be and when it calms down, the motions will be done. Of course the focus will be on the check fraud trial. She will score big, no doubt and the Bozo greed will be historical.
Niecey, since the mid-90’s… Apparently back then he took that much to fall asleep. In recent years, he had weened down to 10 a night, but he was hooked on anasthesia (deprival)….he had a walking IV, oxygen tanks, his own lil portable clinic. Wow…………

I think if she takes a plea agreement, she will be proving guilty and she isn’t biting at that at all.
Ostella…MJ took many other drugs also…Demerol by injection along with all the others…Diprivan should be used in a hospital setting only and administered by an Anesthesiologist..it has to be monitored very closely…bloodpressure..heartrate..and oxygen must be given with the Diprivan…this Murray is a quack…only a quack would be so stupid to do such an unethical thing…no regards for the patient…money was first and foremost…MJ is supposed to owe him for three months of pay…

The Johnny Cochrane pic is stained with tears, Niecey. He’s living in the basement now. He moved his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sleeping bag down there, next to the tub of leftover spiked juicy juice. His memoirs start off as the story of a dashing young hispanic lawyer (who is not at all fat) who gets persecuted by a racist DA’s office. But now the story has trailed off into a hot and heavy romance novel about him and casey; all punctuated by his own haikus inspired by the case. Its a real moneymaker in the works….
Well, if plan A doesn’t work, there is always plan B. It seems as though Bozo has plan B well underway. Of course the completion date does greatly depend on how the Bar investigation turns out, and of course whether he gets to play second chair or no chair at all. The press on the case has slowed down to a crawl, and since he must remain quiet for now, and can’t do all those press conferences and have those fancy dinners at “The Ritz”, at least the A’s still love him, and he has the time to really work on his masterpiece.
I am just wondering why andrea lyon calls herself the angel of death?
She talks about people NOT being total monsters implying that there is some good in them, etc., yet she was involved in a situation where an innocent man, Alton Logan, went to jail and did 26 years for a crime he didn’t commit.
She & her colleagues kept their mouths shut even though the KNEW Logan was innocent and let him do the time.
Yet, she is so concerned about criminals getting the death penalty?
Really? Even those who were witnessed brutally murdering a person, she feels they do not deserve to be put to death?
Yet Alton Logan….a man she KNEW was innocent spent all this time in jail. What if he had died or been killed in jail? I promise you, she would have kept her mouth shut if that happened and not told anyone he was innocent.
Seems to me she has it all wrong. She gets criminals off death row and leaves innocent people to rot in jail. A piss poor lawyer if you ask me!

Ginny, I agree with you that there is no excuse for that. Thanks for sharing that link. I was aware of his story. It is completely sick, (if you ask me) that Andrea Lyon is living so high on the hog and considered such an expert when she was a party to something so wrong. It makes you wonder what happened to justice there??? She’s not good enough to get Casey Anthony off, but she should be investigated for sending this man up, knowing the truth. Most especially since there is no attorney/client privilege on her part. She can’t hide behind that one.
I sure hope it comes up on WFTV or that one of the news stations asks her about this case.
Here she is claiming to rescue these people from death when she didn’t give two hoots about a man she KNEW was behind bars for something he did not do!
On top of that, had this man died, what then? Why not rescue him so he could be free like the criminals she seems to think are worth saving & setting free?
Let one of those criminals harm someone she loves and I bet she won’t be so sympathetic after that.
Some judges & politicians seem to favor light sentences for criminals until someone they love is a victim of a crime, THEN they see to it the maximum punishment is doled out.
That would be something if they did, but I don’t know if she would allow them to do so. It is hypocrisy that’s for sure. That is true, but I hope they never have to experience it. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but I do wish that people would look at things as they are rather than what they would like to portray them to be. I think she is a prime example of that.

My heart goes out to Alton Logan…it must have been pure he!! for him spending 23yrs {IIRC} behind bars for something that he KNEW he didn’t do. She made a mockery of the justice system and although we are told that she had to keep quiet I am sure there would have been a way for her to stop this innocent man going to prison.

I was a really good girl and basically melted into the couch for a few days to let it fully heal. I’ve been able to take some really long walks without any pain, and some short jogs….I haven’t really RUN on it yet, I’m workin back up to that. Baby steps, baby steps….

What’s so sad is I almost think they could do a better job than what we’ve got. His sponsors said that with this case and his misbehavior that that was a good start in being controversial, a must to be in the Federal Government now. I hear that has really pulled his spirits up. If all of this is going to come to pass for Casey and Baez. What is going to happen to the Anthonys for all of their lying and obstruction of justice in this case? These people need to be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law. Cindy and George have known all along that Casey killed Caylee and Lee is guilty of some things also. I don’t know why but Lee has been laying low and he seems to have distanced himself from his parents. I wonder whats going on there. Isn’t it too late for Casey to receive any kind of a deal considering its been a year since Caylee was murdered? I would think it would be too late. Hey Argentina Rose! First off, the state has a bigger fish to fry than the A’s right now. They can’t let this be a witch hunt, so they are tolerant. In time the A’s will get caught up in their charity debacles or the IRS will take care of it, things of that nature. If the state were going after them for any of the other stuff it would be much further down the line. I doubt they will. The state will take a plea deal. The reason I say that, is the DP costs a fortune for trial, and to actually execute a person costs a fortune as well. Have you paid attention to the economy lately??? She could for example tell the truth for life, instead of the DP. She didn’t have the DP on the table at the time she made that statement, and Caylee’s remains hadn’t been found yet, with all the things linking her to the crime. I do think she was going to talk to them, and Baez intercepted. Baez made a statement at a press conference, back when Jesse Grund was pleading for Casey to tell the truth. The statement went like this: “It would not be in my client’s best interests to tell the prosecution what she knows, and put all of her cards on the table, as it would only serve to give the prosecution what they need to put her in jail for the rest of her life”. When he said that, was when they were maintaining that Caylee was alive, and kidnapped, and so her remains had not been found, and there was no DP on the table. He just confessed her guilt right there. Baez got greedy. He wanted to milk it for all it was worth. It will bite him, I believe. JMO.
I totally agree Niecey….I think KC.would have talked before LP bailed her out and Baez put on the ca bash….she was scared…but then along came LENNY and his statements how much he believed in her innocence and Baez telling her to zip the lip and that led the case to where it is today.
I know we agree that KC will tell her side of the story if a plea deal is put on the table..AL will see to that..Baez will be out of the picture and KC will be made to see just how much trouble she is really in and there will be NO CHANCE of getting her off…and there is a better than a 50/50 chance she will get the DP. when she(KC) realizes she could really be put to death she will talk…long and loud…she loves herself far more than anyone else could love her…and she does not have a death wish…she wants to stay alive even if it is in confinement…JMO.
