I have been trying to keep up with the octo mom..I was wondering what you and some of the ladies think about it?
Myself..I think it is a tragic state of affairs…what is happening to our children? Abducted..raped..murdered.. by their family members..some just disappear never to be found..they are used abused exploited..and now planted so the mother has a littler and will make money exploiting them..book deals movie deals..speaking engagements..she is hoping for clothing ..diapers bottles..cribs bedding a house ..in other words everything they need..and they do need it..she has no job..and there are 6 other children..the oldest 7yrs…a set of 2yr.old twins..I think this is a sad story..this woman is a little off..the doctor should be arrested for implanting her period..and he knew about the 6 others he was the same one that implanted those. # of the6 have problems and she receives benefits monthly for them..not she has 8 more and the chances they will have problems are 25-80%
The state will end up paying for these children,people are outraged that a woman would go to these lengths to make money..she did a one on one interview on MSNBC..she is not in this world the way she thinks and talks.

Hello Mand and Happy Valentine’s Day to you as well. I agree with what you are saying and that girl is guilty of child abuse IMO as well as the Dr. There is no excuse for it. It’s not like she accidentally got pregnant. She purposely paid to have these children, when she could not provide for them. Not to mention it would be impossible for 1 person to attend to those children the way they need to be attended to.
I shudder to think what kind of lives they will have.

I’m watching a live conference ont Haleigh Cummings..it is so sad..and going cold so fast..
Misty and Ron became engaged last night…now I don’t want to be mean but is this the time to become engaged?? My God they have been living together..why now the formalities? Go to the court house and just do it make what you have been doing legal…the camera panned down to her ring it’s a good size rock…at least a 2cor more..now I very much doubt that it’s real but there will be those that will think it is and it’s going to cause a lot of questions to be asked. They live in a trailer and she is wearing a ring that’s a down payment on a house..maybe the 4 grand in back child support was for the ring..get the picture? They do need someone to help them in things they release to the public that really does not have a direct bearing on Haleigh missing. I don’t want to put these people down but they aren’t the brightest in the lot..this girl belongs in some sort of school.. a trade school of some kind..she needs to learn a trade in the event she has to go to work to help support the family or if she becomes single and has to support her self…education is not a priority for these people…no incentive to better themselves..and they don’t understand why people call them hillbillies? I think this has a lot to do with why there hasn’t been an outpouring of help as in the Caylee case..Haleigh deserves more…so very sad.

Hey Mand, I saw that. I feel about that the way I do about the tattoo. I’m not trying to pick on anyone, but it seems the ring and the tattoo are a bit much. Especially when you are receiving donations to make ends meet. I really hope they find Haleigh soon. She deserves for her truth to be told as well. I sure wish someone, the right one would talk and say what happened. Someone knows something, even if it’s the person responsible and maybe a friend or associate, a neighbor. Someone saw something. Remember in Jessica Lunsford’s case, the bum that did that to her, lived with 2 other people that new she was there. I sure hope this does not have the same kind of ending, but someone, somewhere knows something. We can only pray they will find them or someone will talk.
Niecey..I have been watching the news on Haleigh Cummings..the father and Misty..now the new Mrs.Cummings and the interview on NBC this AM.
There is definitely wrong in this case…and a lot of it has to do with Misty..she was asked this am by Merideth why she kept changing her story and she looked like a 5 year old caught with their hand in the cookie jar..she hummed and hawed and finally said she didn’t know. I had not heard this but she walked out on a police interview..a new officer was doing the interview and from what she says he was rude to her almost accusing her..she said she got up and walked out..she told John she would talk to him but not to this other guy.I hope you have seen this video because her demeanor changed 100%..she was a little snit..not the little sniveling girl we have been seeing. He was just right rude.down he said his personal life was no one’s business stay out of his personal life and look for Haleigh..now I agree with that to a degree..but why would you get married when your daughter is missing?? There had been no previous wedding date or for that matter engagement..they did that 123..you can see it wasn’t planned..she has a gown..tiara..some flowers..he has on khakis and a coral button down shirt and those damm sun glasses…first time I’ve seen a groom wear sunglasses to get married?? You could have fit another person between them..so much for being close. there is a story going round that she is pregnant..in Fl. he can be charged..15 years automatic for having relations with a girl under the age of 18..and him over 24yrs. so some think this is why they got married ..all tho he could still be charged even with her parents consent but it would be unlikely the DA would waste time and money doing so at this time and with what else is going on. I wonder just how much he wanted to marry her..he called her a capital bitch and when they were getting the marriage license he walked right past her and into the courthouse.
There is something wrong here and I think Misty holds the key..I thought about this..could she have been taking care of some drug dealings for him??Did she meet someone that was buying drugs away from the house and thus the doors propped open and the delay in the 911 call..she was waiting for him to be told what to do?? On the To-day Show she was looking at him when asked why she changed her story…I hate to say it but I think drugs are involved here.
In side the trailer in the bedroom there are no beds..the mattress is on the floor..all of them..she has a ring if real is a few grand..if not who knows..bio mom owes 4 grand and is being taken to court for it..I just wonder why they would not get the things they need before the wedding crap??

Hey Mand! I finally viewed the video. They both appeared strange to me. Not trying to be mean, but they were almost like they resented being there and yet they didn’t have to go.
Something is very fishy in Denmark. They want to focus on Haleigh, yet they are in the news with a wedding and before that the engagement. Which means one of 2 things. Either the media is following them around, or they were invited. I do think Misty knows something. What??? I don’t know.
I had not heard that Misty was pregnant. That would certainly help explain the thrown together wedding. It was not because a wife can’t testify against her husband–that doesn’t apply to crimes committed before they were married and it doesn’t apply to a crime that involves a child.
I really think something or someone (Misty) will break in this case soon. She’s acting stranger and stranger and more and more uptight. Sounds like the police are getting tougher with her, too. Ron on the other hand looked quite cool and collected in that video–other than shaking his leg to beat the band.
I’m still not sure if I think Ron did anything–but I do think Misty knows something. On one of the shows-can’t remember which one, someone said that even though Misty and Ron are saying they passed their lie detector tests, it is highly unlikely they were told that by any authority.
Mystery..I heard that about the lie detector tests also..they said they don’t tell them one way or other.
I think maybe he is dealing in drugs like first reported…Misty was home and if someone wanted to make a buy maybe Ron told her what to do..that would explain both doors being propped open..the inside door was propped open with a shirt of Haleighs…if Misty went to take someone some drugs just outside maybe a set meeting place she would be sure to get back in…I think it strange she waited til Ron got home to make the 911 call WHY..I don’t think that’s normal..and there is no real time line..only what Misty tells them..what if she went missing early in the evening..how will anyone know? Ron is losing his cool also..he’s snapping at the media and telling them his private life is off limits..then gets engaged and married goes on the Today Show..well here we go again..can’t have it both ways. Have you or Niecey noticed he is not very nice to Misty when the camera is on them?
I think she might crack but if there is a threat against her or her family maybe not. The other thing is…do you think Haleigh could be alive if it is drugs?? She could reconize who took her ..but there are ways to overcome that if they change things around and have someone take care of her and tell her Daddy will come get her or something like that…I don’t know ..it’s a tad far fetched but could happen…but I do believe very strongly it’s drugs.

Hey Mystery! That does explain a lot. I didn’t know it either. Wow! I do think LE is getting tougher on her for a reason. I think she knows more than she says. She acts funny too. Ron acts cool, and yet he sits shaking his leg, but at times he seems so, I don’t know defiant. Like he wants to strike out at the media. After Geraldo’s stunt, I can understand that to some degree, but I wonder if it is partly in defense of Misty too. As much as they go around pronouncing they have passed the lie detector tests, LE always says they can’t reveal that info and everyone is a suspect. It’s all so strange.
Hey Mand! I, too believe that someone who had knowledge of their schedule, the house, the sleeping arrangements, is responsible for Haleigh’s disappearance, whether it be because of drugs or whatever. That is a possibility. I wonder if she could be alive too.
Hi Ladies… I seen a snip it on Bill O’ Reilly show w/t Geraldo….and they were talking about the reasons they may have married now..the showed them cutting the cake and feeding each other…Misty was laughing and trying to push the cake in his face and he moved away..he showed no interaction..NONE..that strickes me as so odd. They were also talking about Ron having a history of chasing after 16 year old girls…A little young for a 25 year old man w/t two children?? Something stinks in Denmark and it’s getting stronger…I think it’s time LE take the kid gloves off and get down to the hard stuff.
Hello Ladies! I didn’t catch The Factor, I will have to catch the next showing. I love his show. My wonderful husband took me out to eat and flower shopping. Lots of stuff to do in the garden now. He bought me some beautiful solar lights for the garden too. I’m so excited. On the way home I got a Vente Mocha Frappachino at Starbucks. It was a wonderful evening.
Sorry, a little off topic. I think something is really stinky in that story. I do think they are both acting very strange at this point. Niecey..on another blog I think it was Denny’s…someone said Haleigh’s mom was 14 years old when she gave birth to Haleigh which means she is only 19 now…I think she looks a little older than 19 but I don’t know..I haven’t really looked at her that close. They do keep talking about him preferring 16 year old girls..this a 25 year old man?? I would think something wrong there..control maybe?? A 16 yr.old is not mature enough for a 25 yr.old man..a girl that age would be easily manipulated..I think we are seeing it right now.

Hey Mand! I don’t think Haleigh’s mom was quite that young. I’m with you she doesn’t look that young. IMO, she looks to be more his age. He does seem to like that young ones. My husband worries that someone was watching Caylee’s case and could have been seeing what was done wrong and right. I hope he’s wrong about that, but the sudden tatoos and the fancy engagement ring when they are living off of donations, is not too good either, and the circus did try to go to town. Did they give pointers? I know this sounds mean, but the story isn’t right and the girl changes it.
My hubby is a keeper! I got the lights installed this morning before the rains came. I love Starbucks too.
Hi Niecey…I didn’t think she was that young either..but there is something so wrong here and more and more I think Ron and Misty are both aware of what it might be.
He is getting hostile with the press and was downright rude on the Today Show..he said what he does in his private life is no bodies business..that he works..pays his bills and all he wants them to do is put Haleigh’s picture out there. Well once this happened there is no more private life..it’s now an open book for all to see!!
What is it with the sunglasses?? Is he trying to be cool or hiding something?? Misty could use a pair..she is always squinting and has her hand shading her eyes.

To me when you invite the cameras to cover what you do as far as weddings and that, well, IMO, you lose your privacy. Can’t have it both ways.
Niecey..I heard on HLN that LE is pretty up-set with Misty..they have interviewed her a total of 30 hours and she can-not get her story straight..and tell everyone she passed the PT. Cooke the former FBI agent said he is puzzled about the marriage..and said he has repeatedly call or referred to her as that bitch of a girlfriend.He has to have a reason for marring her..if it was so she won’t testify against him in a trial that is not true..only info after the marriage and then it still is no good here due to Haleigh being under 12 yrs. So it must be they don’t know that or she is pregnant..and the reason for that would be like I said he could be charged because the law in FL. is he had relations with a girl under 18 yrs..and he is over 24yrs. of age.

I saw the Mom on Geraldo last night and he asked her her age, she is 23 about to be 24. So she must have gotten pregnant when she was 17. She talked about the little boy talking about the man in black.

Hey Mand! No I didn’t, will have to catch the next showing. He seems like a very angry young man to me, and has from the beginning. If he is abusive and the way I’ve heard him talk, on different occasions, he appears to be, then he could have had her snowed with if she took the kids he would kill her or something. That is a famous line with abusive people. She could have been afraid of him and being so young, well, it’s kind of understandable. However, if he was that way to her, and it has been said he was, then wouldn’t she want her kids to not be subjected to that? Although Florida would still give him his rights to visitation.
I think you’re right about the abuse Niecey..that’s why he goes for the teenagers easier to control.
The other thing is if he didn’t pay child support it would have been harder for her..she would have to have a babysitter and pay them unlike him find one and sleep with her.
They said he was an informant and if that is true he would know some of the guys LE.. and he could have told her he would say she was dealing..or whatever.
Do you think he suspects someone he deals with in drugs has her? The way he keeps saying…someone took my child..just the way he says it??
We have to light a candle and say a prayer for this baby.

I know I have said I was taking a break from the KCA case…but there is something that is bothering me and I haven’t seen anyone posting about it…and that is what is taking the Bar so long in making a decision on Baez? I would think they have had plenty of time to have found if he broke the law or not and to take whatever action was appropriate.
The length of time they have/are taking leads me to think they have found something serious and they need to make sure all I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed.
Now G&C are changing their tune about KC’s being involved according to Conway….could this have something to do with what he may think the Bar is going to do with Baez? Getting the word out there so if Baez gets dumped and Lyons looks for a plea deal it will look like G&C would be in agreement?
I believe there will be a plea deal asked for by Lyons…she is going to tell KC the truth about what the chances are of her getting anything but a guilty verdict and the DP will be zero to none….KC will take the deal…in fact Lyons may have already told her this …and are waiting to see what the Bar is going to do about Baez.
It has been to quiet…no one is talking…Baez especially….something is in the wind and I just wonder how long it is going to be before all Hell breaks loose….what do you think?????

I will check and I agree with you. I’m fixing to be off for a while, but when I come back on later I will research that better for you. You are on to something girl! Little Guy is on his way. I agree with the Judges ruling on the video…and again it does tie into a plea…it will be shown at trial…that and the 31 days not reporting Caylee missing will get her convicted…plus whatever else they have…a plea will save the State a lot of money..in short it will be good for all concerned…well maybe not Baez…but if he is out of the picture???

Ohio does not have the Sunshine Law so I’m used to not seeing the evidence til trial…so it does not really bother me that the video is sealed. I think the
autopsy report may go the same route…and perhaps it’s best. I believe Strickland is doing everything he can to protect her rights so there is not a problem with appeals
I was thinking about how George has again changed his story…Conway could have stopped him even if he was not with him…he could have told him not to add anything to what he has already said…but I think Conway knows very well this is never going to trial and G&C will not be testifying so they are free to continue lying. JMO.
Yeah, I’m thinking any time we will be hearing about the Bar investigation. I smell a deal big time and the smell is getting stronger everyday. I believe Judge Strickland is doing a good job. I really wouldn’t be upset either way about the autopsy

Unfortunately, as far as discussion, I think this case is pretty much wrapped up. The bad guy is dead, I don’t think he had any help other than the girl who dropped him off at the motel, and the victim has been recovered.
Another senseless slaying. What is really wild is that Jenkins had already taped another reality show for VH1 and won. All he had to do was bide his time until he won fame and popularity the old-fashioned way – reality TV – but no, he had to go nutso and kill the poor girl.

niecey, I believe they believe it was his Half Sister who dropped him off at the Motel and paid for him to stay for 3 Days and then left.I don’t believe any one thinks she was involved in the Murder. There was talk Jenkins might had some help with the Murder. Myself I don’t believe he did.

Now they’re saying Jenkins may have had help from another mystery woman in washington, just before he pulled the James Bond-esque boating getaway across the border. They also found Fiore’s missing BMW a mile from her home in west hollywood, tucked away in a remote space in a parking lot….a witness told police it had been there since early a.m of Aug 15. He said he saw a silver 4door sedan parked next to it, that had disappeared 30 minutes later…. Didn’t his half sister drive a silver PT cruiser?

I have been mowing and trimming the Yard and stated to decorate for Fall. It’s my favorite time of the Year. I heard it was left at Trader Joe Store and there are a lot of security cameras there, I would think that will help Police to find out who left that car there, also the Car might have a lot of Evidence left in it, which will be helpful to LE. There is Speculation that Jasmine might was killed in her own Car.
Jenkins had to be a very troubled Person, this Case proofs again, You cant judge a Book by its Cover.

I have been following it Ostella. Thanks for sharing that. Very interesting. My gut tells me that they are gonna pin this guy with more than Jaycees case. I’ve heard it reported that he may be involved in other abductions. Besides the other one that got away. Truly amazing. The guy is a monster.
Niecey my gut is convinced he is responsible for Michaela Garechts abduction, and probably many others. There’s a ton of similarities between the 2 cases. Here’s an article:

Its been determined that he was staying in a halfway house just minutes from the market where Michaela was kidnapped in 88. He had been released on parole 3 months before her abduction. Her friend (the eyewitness) told cops that Garrido’s car looked VERY similar to the one Michaela was forced into; the only difference was the color (couldve been painted between abductions). I’m gonna hunt down a link showing a photo of Garrido from 1976 (with longer hair) next to a sketch of Michaela’s suspect. I kinda got chills.
This case really hits home for me. I grew up in the Tahoe area, and was 13 or 14ish when Jaycee was snatched. I remember Michaelas case too, and the many other young girls in my age group who disappeared from the East Bay in those years. I had a lot of family in the Bay Area at the time, and some girl cousins in that age range….those were really scary years for everyone….

Ostella, I went over all that info, and it’s hair raising. I agree with you, that he is responsible for a lot more rapes and probably murders. Why he let the first woman live that he went to prison for can be chalked up to him being younger, but then the girl that got a way, that didn’t press charges, then Jaycee, all 3 lived, but where is Michaela??? I think she was less fortunate, and I think he’s killed before. I hate to say that, but that’s my gut feeling. I don’t buy the crap about his wife being a victim too. She aided and abetted and she could have turned him in, rather than help him commit the crime. Reminds me of this:

It’s quite a read, but it is amazing to me that Karla went along with it as amazing to me that Mrs. Garrido went along with it, and yet I see her playing Karla’s card. Karla has been paroled.
I hate these crimes and I hate the evil that drives these monsters. I don’t think they should have ever let Garrido out on parole the first time and he sure wasn’t supervised very well, IMO.
I can only imagine the horror of the community, and the families of the victims.

Those abductions in those years had a ripple effect on every community along the I-80 corridor, from the East Bay all the way over the Sierras into Tahoe…I can remember about half a dozen girls going missing between 1988 and 1992 alone. I remember they called assemblies in school to try and teach us how to keep ourselves (and eachother) safe. P.E. classes started teaching self defense. Parents wouldn’t allow their kids to play outside, even with a large group of friends right in the front yard. Nobody was allowed to walk to or from school, even in groups. We became hyper-aware of our surroundings, and clung to our parents like glue. Strangers were the enemy….
My parents went to Meyers/South Lake Tahoe last weekend to participate in the “welcome home” parade for Jaycee. They said the whole crowd was overflowing with every emotion imaginable; weeping, smiling, hugging eachother, bawling…. The ripple effect of these things is really astounding….

Amazing how one monster, or should we say 2, could bring a community into such fear. The good news is that the community did become proactive and protective of their own, thus no other victims could be had. Ready? Okay…. So you’ve probably heard that 3 properties owned by a couple named Molino were searched yesterday in relation to Garrido’s case. Now, the Molinos are the ones who have been saying all this wierd stuff to the media (especially wifey Cheyvonne) about how the girls are really “normal tweens,” and how they weren’t living like cavepeople in the tents, and they liked Hannah Montana, etc… Cheyvonne is the one who took pics of them at her granddaughters b-day party recently. So…the cops raided 2 homes and an autowrecking yard owned by the couple yesterday, and left with DVDs, videos, CD’s, etc. You can read about it her:

The wrecking yard this couple owns is called JM Enterprises. Cheyvonne said garrido and the girls would visit the wreckyard a FEW TIMES A WEEK.
The wreckyard is a chapter in and of itself. Long history of environmental violations, a TERRIBLE reputation for ripping people off (lotsa lawsuits), and to top it all off, a prostitute was found impaled on a fencepost there once. Niecey, I find Cheyvonne’s reactions (to everything in this case) really unsettling. She immediately criticized the UC Berkeley cops for calling the girls “robotic and zombie-like,” and for following their gut feeling that something was “off” about Garrido and the girls. She went on to say, “they wore clean clothes and washed their hair; they were normal tweens who like Hannah Montana. They lived in the main house with Garrido, not out back like cavepeople.” Its like she’s blaming the media for smearing poor Garrido’s reputation. “He’s not the monster that’s being portrayed on TV.”. Is this woman insane??? I don’t care if he put these girls in a private castle with ponies and gave them manicures, HE KIDNAPPED an 11 year old girl and raped 2 kids out of her, denied them all education and medical care, and built a maze of tents and soundproof sheds out back. And let’s not forget his LONG criminal history of rape, kidnapping, and drug charges. What is this woman thinking???? And why bring up kiddyporn (regarding the searches) if the cops haven’t even mentioned it yet???? Her whole attitude is baffling. Selfish!!! And now she’s demanding Jaycee clear HER name??? No need for sorry Ostella! At all. I found this all very interesting and I, myself think the CM comments were bizarre. I think those 2 are in it up to their eyeballs. JMO.
I also think that some of the other girls mentioned, may have died in child birth, or been raped to death. The backyard sex parties and the meth info speak mountains to me, as well as the junkyard brothel. I think that Jaycee and her girls are alive due to the fact of their submission to him, as well as a the Blessing of their health, to be able to hold up to it, as I do believe he’s serial, and the ones who don’t play his way die, as well as the ones who can’t physically hold up to it. I hope that LE gets to the bottom of the whole thing and everyone that is involved in making it happen, as well as participating in the events, should be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law. It is all very sick. My heart breaks for these girls, including the ones that are yet missing.

My question is why do they need to attend a church with children present to have a relationship with God? Although the community aspect of religion is enjoyable, it is not the heart and soul of the religious experience – which would be the internal process of becoming closer to God. I am sure there are pastors or priests who would be willing to make home visits or establish a seperate service time with no children present at the church.
The thing that really gets to me is that the guy referenced in this article is a three time offender (and anyone who thinks he only did it three times is a fool – he only got caught three times), yet someone in the article is stating that community support means he will be less likely to reoffend. Ummm.. duh, he already reoffended – like twice.
I also find it offensive that his supporters equate not being legally allowed to attend services with children present as being mandated by the state to being agnostic or aethist. The state is not mandating any of his internal beliefs, just as they did not mandate he sexually molest children. He continues to be free to choose his own religion.
Spacely That is one tough story. You are correct that he doesn’t have to attend a Church around children. He could also with the help of a good pastor or associate pastor start a Bible study for sex offenders outside of the Church. That is a good point you are making and you are right that there are alternatives. No you don’t have to go to Church to be a Christian. The ACLU needs to butt out, once again. They cause too many problems and this is just one more way for them to attack the Church. They delight in that. He is a repeat offender and you are right that he’s done it more than he’s been caught. He does not need to be around children at all. I will do some homework on this, as I’m just sure there are Churches that have programs somewhere for such as this. I think part of the problem with the sex offenders attending church with children present is that the state defines the restrictions as a whole, but because churches are of differing denominations and not necessarily connected in any way to any other church, each pastor or church leader is left to make the decision to allow or fight the attendance of each offender on a case by case basis.
In other words, I think that churches regardless of denomination or affliation need to reach out to each other and determine a state by state approach to how they will deal with this growing problem.
As an individual leader, I believe most will look into their hearts and see that one of Christ’s major messages is forgiveness and then extend that forgiveness towards the offender. That is as it should be.
However, for safety reasons and to comply with state laws and to ensure that the offender is not placing themselves at jeapordy of breaking their restrictions, I believe each church needs to establish a safety protocol for dealing with these situations. If the offender is truly repentent and wishes to improve his relationship with and please the Lord, he should be more than willing to comply with these procedures/restrictions.
Morning Spacely! I do agree with you. That is part of why I wanted to do my homework. Forgiveness is indeed a major aspect of the faith. I think they could work these things out and I wanted to research and see if I could find any such program or effort to address this issue. I agree the offender, if repentant should want to comply. I’ve heard many Pastors teach that if a man or woman has a weakness they should do their best to abstain from the temptation. If one has a drinking problem, a bar would not be a good place to hang out. If one has a promiscuity problem, the beach would not be a good place to hang out. On and on that can go, but I believe it’s true, and right in line with what you are saying. I want to see if there are programs in existence. I’m sure there might be.
